Not all can hear the reedy music
that compels her feet to move
as she starts to turn
deliberately
her skirt at first
only barely lifting off the ground
Her thoughts slowly disappearing
she enters her meditation
leaving behind all
that is not her circular movement
her skirt now flying nearly waist high
arms outspread toward the rising moon
Her circle has no resistance
it scribes our never-ending nature
edgeless and flowing
and as the music quickens
she spins faster
her quest is for ecstasy and light
and the emptiness of profound peace
